📋 Description
• Review of the structure and architecture/design of the unit’s Information Systems. • Further design, develop and maintain the IT architecture of the current Raw Materials Information System (RMIS) by building a sustainable and consistent ecosystem of applications and databases. • Data analysis and data modelling • Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture • Technical interface between the project leader, work-package leader, head of unit and other IS tools developers (inside or outside) • Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users • Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting associated with information system infrastructure services. • Elaboration of functional and non-functional requirements and specific IS tools related to the area of expertise. • Good knowledge of Microservices Architecture (MSA) • Good knowledge of applications design • Good knowledge of modelling tools • Good knowledge of Relational DBMS and NoSQL databases • Ability to give technical presentations • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, very good communication skills; • Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment.
🎯 Requirements
• Ensure coherence of logical and physical structure between the information systems in IT related environment. • Maintaining an IT security level in line with the Commission rules and recommendations for the aforementioned specific sites. • Management of databases and metadata cataloguing (in accordance with our standards) in the framework of the Raw Materials project. • Defining, documenting and developing software, as well as contributes to architecture and technical design discussions, code reviews and technical design/specifications in collaboration with the project team. • Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications and driving architectural & design decisions for the IT infrastructure of RMIS according to Unit’s and EC partners and other customers’ needs, with the approval of the head of unit. • Management of software related tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, and databases according to provided project specifications. • Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture. • Strong capacity to present results to a technical audience, good communication skills and to write technical papers in English language; • Ability to organize and conduct IS applications in support of RMIS and of raw materials supply chain analytical tools and viewers. • Sound knowledge & experience in JavaScript ES6-ES7+ web development: 1) Frameworks: Vue.js, React, jQuery 2) Data visualization: D3.js, Chart.js, Three.js 3) Functional programming & software composition 4) Miscellaneous: Node.js & Express.js, TypeScript, Webpack, Parcel.js, Karma, Ramda, RxJS, Babel, Electron.js • Modern web design: HTML5, CSS3, responsive, grid layouts, data storytelling • Programming languages: JS, Rust, PHP 7, Julia, .Net/C# • Great experience in PWA, SPA, MVVM design patterns/models • Deep understanding of cutting-edge web technologies and computing emerging trends including Web Workers, RESTful API, GraphQL, WebSocket, WebAssembly, WebRTC, IndexedDB, Web Storage • Graph data modeling • Multi-model databases: ArangoDB, MongoDB • Microservices and application containerization: Kubernetes, Docker
