📋 Description

• Design, develop, and optimize back-end services, APIs, and systems that power GoDaddy’s applications • Work with distributed systems and microservices to create scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, front-end engineers, and data teams, to deliver end-to-end solutions • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, adhering to best practices in software development • Investigate and resolve software-related issues, optimize performance, and deliver exceptional user experiences • Advocate for new technologies that boost productivity and efficiency, keeping our tech stack modern and effective • Contribute to architecture and design discussions, influencing the technical direction of our platforms • Actively participate in discussions, brainstorm ideas, and propose solutions, shaping the direction of our shared services

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and developing large-scale distributed applications • Proven leadership background with experience as a team lead and strong interest in managerial growth • Skilled in designing and implementing RESTful APIs with a solid understanding of microservice architecture • 2+ years of cloud experience, preferably with AWS, along with knowledge of containers and cloud-native development • Strong foundation in data structures, software design, relational and NoSQL databases, as well as scalability, performance tuning, and caching strategies • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code • Management experience isn’t required but is a strong plus; ready to step into a leadership role within 6 months
