• Oversees daily activities of the department operations, including staffing, work assignment, production, shipping, and reporting • Responsible for the hiring, training, coaching, development, performance measurement and discipline of department staff within company and department guidelines • Delegates appropriate work and emphasizes the development of next level leaders • Routinely reviews ongoing department performance toward organizational goals. Takes corrective measures as needed • Maintains departmental compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies, including but not limited to HIPAA and The Joint Commission guidelines • Escalates and directs department activities during outages, systems issues, staffing shortages and other operational issues. Enacts contingency plans as needed • Participates in company and operations meetings as requested • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance within established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position • Maintains a favorable working relationship with other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken • Maintains a qualified staff and performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel and processes assigned • Works with the Director of Risk & Reimbursement and Reimbursement Manager to determine standards of performance for department staff. May recommend salary adjustments, transfers, promotions and dismissals • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Risk & Reimbursement and/or Reimbursement Manager
• High school diploma • One year in an accounts receivable leadership role • Associate's degree in business management related field (preferred) • Two years in a medical/insurance/healthcare accounts receivable leadership role (preferred) • One year DASCO experience (preferred) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
