📋 Description

• Lead the Monetization Platform team owning billing and reselling architecture • Own architecture and scaling decisions for ledgers, wallets, subscriptions, usage rating, auto-recharge, payment integrations, invoicing, and reselling/rebilling • Guarantee financial correctness through ledger integrity, idempotency, exactly-once usage handling, reconciliation, and auditability • Own fraud, abuse, and spend-control systems including velocity detection, anomaly detection, spend caps, circuit breakers, and retry policies • Lead cross-cutting initiatives improving reliability, latency, and throughput across APIs and workflows • Evolve monitoring, alerting, resilience, and incident response strategies • Leverage LLMs and AI tools to write, refactor, test, and debug code with reliability guardrails • Partner with product, infrastructure, security, finance, risk, support, channel, and payment-provider teams • Lead and develop engineering managers and senior engineers; build leadership pipelines and succession plans • Participate in design reviews, deep dives, and on-call rotations • Own multiple teams/products, establish the engineering system, set technical direction, and develop leaders

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years of backend engineering experience with at least 2+ years of leadership experience • Experience designing fault-tolerant systems and working on high-scale platforms • Deep expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous job processing • Experience with strict consistency and correctness requirements in billing, payments, ledgers, metering, or comparable transactional domains • Fluency in idempotency, exactly-once semantics, reconciliation, and audit trails • Experience optimizing availability, performance, and reliability in production systems under load • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL data models, especially complex transactional data • Experience leading experienced senior engineers and facilitating rigorous technical debate • Familiarity with monitoring, SLOs, and root-cause analysis in production • Familiarity with hallucination mitigation strategies such as code constraints, test scaffolding, embeddings, and context injection • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Pragmatic, hands-on leadership balancing long-term vision with iterative execution • Preferred: experience with fraud, abuse, risk-control systems, payment provider integrations, multi-tenant reselling or platform billing, AI tools, communication APIs, or open-source/internal platform contributions
