📋 Description

• Own end-to-end feature delivery for the Wallet, Billing, and Taxes platform, from API design and backend implementation to necessary Vue.js frontend changes • Build and maintain stable, performant, and scalable backend services using Node.js, MongoDB, and distributed systems patterns • Identify and fix systemic issues such as crashes, timeouts, race conditions, and memory leaks • Drive performance optimization and cost-efficiency improvements through query tuning, caching, indexing, and cloud-spend reduction • Reduce technical debt by refactoring critical code, improving test coverage, and eliminating anti-patterns • Implement and enforce security best practices, including input validation, authentication flows, secrets management, and rate limiting • Enhance observability with logs, metrics, alerts, and tracing • Collaborate with QA by reviewing test cases, performing live demos during QA handover, and addressing feedback • Contribute to internal tooling and automation that accelerates development and deployment • Pair with engineers, share knowledge, and help unblock teammates • Participate in the on-call rotation and resolve production incidents • Write production code, ship frequently, and directly impact Wallet platform stability and scalability

🎯 Requirements

• 4–7 years of backend engineering experience with proven exposure to scale (high TPS, large datasets, or multi-tenant environments) • Expert-level Node.js and strong track record of writing clean, modular, reusable code • Deep expertise with MongoDB, including complex schemas, aggregation pipelines, indexing, and sharding • Solid production experience with Redis, including caching, rate-limiting, pub/sub, and distributed locks • Hands-on experience building and running microservices on Kubernetes; basic Kubernetes knowledge is sufficient, including deployments, services, and configmaps • Strong hands-on experience with a major cloud provider: GCP, AWS, or Azure • Experience using managed cloud services for containers, queues, caches, serverless, and databases • Comfortable contributing to the frontend using a modern UI framework such as Vue.js, React, or Angular • Experience with Vue.js is a plus but not mandatory • Experience shipping and supporting large-scale, mission-critical systems under heavy load • Preferred: experience with AI tools and contributions to open-source tools, internal platforms, or engineering blogs • Preferred: NestJS or Express.js experience • Preferred: Elasticsearch for search/filtering use cases • Preferred: exposure to an OLAP system such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery
