📋 Description

• Lead the application security team across application security, cloud security, and internal tooling development • Lead first- and third-party vulnerability management, including coordinated disclosure and embargoed fixes • Define, optimize, and implement engineering strategy with security leadership, individual contributors, and business stakeholders • Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching, and mentoring • Provide continuous feedback and maintain high team standards • Collaborate with engineering leaders and stakeholders on product strategy, roadmaps, and designs • Engage in significant incidents through preparation, simulation, response, and customer notification and communications • Contribute to and review design documents for upcoming projects • Ensure projects are well-defined and ready for development • Advise on breaking projects into tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience running a security engineering team • Strong engineering background and ability to engage in technical conversations • Ability to challenge teams to reach strong technical decisions • Comfort working with autonomous engineering teams • Up-to-date knowledge of technical trends and shifts • DevOps mindset focused on enablement, automation, and guardrails • Familiarity with securing and operating on public cloud providers: AWS, GCP, and Azure • Familiarity with Kubernetes • Familiarity with securing combined open-source software (OSS) and SaaS products • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to articulate complex cybersecurity concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to translate security problems into business impact
