📋 Description

• Advise on and support Grafana's most strategic deals and customer engagements • Collaborate with Solution Engineers and Observability Architects on complex technical challenges • Serve as a company-recognized SME in one Grafana Platform area and maintain deep knowledge across multiple Grafana technologies • Build reference architectures and overcome competitive objections in the field • Craft and deliver value-based stories to help sales teams close deals • Create and curate technical training content, including workshops, how-to guides, and demo scripts • Establish a recurring content review cadence with Enablement and Product Management • Architect, engineer, and maintain live production environments supporting demos, workshops, and POV infrastructure • Influence product direction and represent Field Engineering in product planning • Present at strategic marketing events, webinars, conferences, panels, and blogs • Provide technical guidance and best practices to Solution Engineers, Observability Architects, and customers • Improve product documentation and contribute white papers, blogs, and product direction input • Mentor Senior and Staff Solution Engineers and Field Engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8+ years of related technical experience, including 2+ years in a Senior Field Engineer role (or equivalent), serving as an SRE, Developer, Architect and/or successful presales Solution Architect • Excellent understanding of Grafana and associated technologies, with SME depth in at least one Grafana Platform area • Deep working knowledge across multiple observability technologies, such as Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, and Datadog • Expert-level knowledge in at least one adjacent domain, such as IoT or AI/ML • Experience creating and maintaining product training assets adopted by the broader technical field organization • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering on enablement content and roadmap priorities • Comfortable with at least one modern programming language • Strong understanding of the modern software development lifecycle, including debugging and investigation • Working familiarity with Linux and common tools • Practical experience using AI tools to generate and review code • Ability to architect modern applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform • Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless, and Microservices • Proven track record delivering strategic technical content for technical audiences, including complex POVs and content overcoming competitive objections • Deep understanding of the sales process and complex strategic sales cycles
