📋 Description

• Transcribe complex polyphonic musical recordings into structured notation. • Separate simultaneous soprano, alto, tenor, and bass lines from mixed audio. • Identify pitches, note onsets, durations, rests, and re-articulations. • Quantize musical events to the appropriate rhythmic structure. • Apply accurate key signatures, accidentals, and enharmonic spelling. • Generate, edit, and validate MusicXML scores. • Use Python for audio inspection, spectral analysis, and workflow automation. • Validate transcriptions through musical review, structured checks, or resynthesis. • Identify and correct subtle pitch, rhythm, voicing, or notation discrepancies. • Produce accurate and reproducible transcription workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong Python programming ability. • Advanced ear training and demonstrated polyphonic music-transcription skills. • Strong knowledge of harmony, rhythm, voice leading, and standard musical notation. • Experience with SATB music, choral arranging, score preparation, or comparable multi-part transcription. • Ability to distinguish simultaneous musical lines from mixed recordings. • Experience creating or manipulating digital musical scores. • Ability to validate complex transcriptions for musical and technical accuracy. • Strong written English for documenting technical approaches and results. • Experience with one or more of the following is useful, but no single platform is mandatory: librosa, NumPy / SciPy, music21, Essentia, pretty_midi, MuseScore, MusicXML, or comparable audio-analysis, transcription, or notation software.
