📋 Description

• Research and develop code for complex security-related objectives • Independently analyze vulnerabilities and build systems for automated detection • Design and implement technologies for future vulnerability analysis and detection of new attack vectors • Re-implement publicly available exploits in alternative programming languages • Develop detection and testing methods using banner grabbing, authenticated protocols, and targeted product testing • Work with diverse security tools, operating systems, Git, and network protocols • Collaborate directly with Greenbone's team on assigned research and development tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Independent freelancer / self-employed security professional • Several years of hands-on cybersecurity experience across different roles, projects, or research activities • Strong coding skills in scripting or compiled languages • Software development as a central part of daily work • Passion for coding, security research, vulnerability analysis, and emerging threats and attack techniques • Excellent written English communication skills • Motivation to improve software, tooling, and processes for vulnerability detection and automation • Independent, structured, and proactive working style • Ability to quickly understand, work with, and improve existing codebases • Ability to work directly as the individual performing the work; agencies, consultancies, staffing companies, outsourcing companies, and other intermediaries are not accepted • Must include hourly rate, maximum availability in hours per week, and earliest possible start date when applying
