📋 Description

• Analyze business and technology trends across global energy and utility sectors, providing Gartner clients with critical insights to create OT and IT strategies • Produce a range of research publications, including Best Practice Insights, Market Analyses, Trend and Survey Analyses, Forecasts/Predictions, and Case Studies/Use Cases • Lead and contribute to Thought Leadership in relation to OT and AI, OT and the Cloud, OT Management and Optimization, and the evolving markets for OT • Provide Gartner clients with insight and guidance on the latest developments across OT and related IT • Advise on the solutions, market trends, and vendors • Assess the maturity of the innovative operational technology solutions and advise clients on the risks and benefits associated with the adoption of a particular technology • Create innovative, thought provoking, and highly leveraged “must-have” insights • Develop in-depth analysis to identify the root cause of a client’s barriers or overall needs and reframe thinking to drive strategy forward • Bring provocative, independent insights to Gartner leaders that can evolve the course of a research agenda

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree in power engineering, computer science or related field preferred • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience • A deep knowledge of, and exposure to, the intersection of information technologies (IT) and operational technology (OT) in the context of asset-intensive industries • Demonstrable experience in positions that require engagement with senior operational management, and ideally, c-suite level executives • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables • Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions to client challenges • Subject matter expert comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements • Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within subject area as well as the interplay in that market • Learning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environments • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
