📋 Description

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability. • Manage procurement of key commodities including amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. • Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms. • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance through KPIs. • Ensure accurate supplier data within systems. • Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements. • Analyze historical data and market trends to anticipate demand fluctuations. • Develop procurement plans aligned with production schedules, lead times, and seasonality. • Execute customer-specific sourcing strategies aligned with pricing and supply commitments. • Monitor commodity markets, exchange rates, and supply trends to identify risks. • Provide forecasting insights to support financial planning and currency positioning. • Identify supply chain vulnerabilities and develop contingency plans.

🎯 Requirements

• University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field • 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain • Experience in agriculture, animal nutrition, or commodity-based industries is strongly preferred • Strong understanding of commodity markets, pricing volatility, and supply risk • Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships • Ability to translate procurement insights into pricing and margin impacts • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment • Willingness and ability to travel across Canada and the U.S.
