📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain software components and products that support H&R Block business applications • Serve as the lead role for day-to-day functional tasks in the team • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, User Experience, and other teams • Create and execute unit tests and address defects • Mentor and coach team members • Drive technical decisions from concept through production • Own complex initiatives spanning multiple systems and teams • Advocate for automation across development, testing, deployment, and operational processes • Lead root cause analysis and resolution efforts for complex production issues

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience • 5 years minimum related work experience with the following: • React / TypeScript • Node.js • Python • AWS • REST APIs and event-driven architectures • GitHub Actions and CI/CD tooling • Infrastructure as Code • Observability and Monitoring Platforms (Datadog preferred) • AI-assisted software development tools and engineering automation platforms • Building cloud-native and distributed systems • Contributing to architecture and technical design decisions • Mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and drive outcomes in ambiguous environments
