• Promote best practice in Information Management and GIS within HALO programmes • Design, develop, deploy, and manage information management systems • Contribute to defining information requirements and developing data flows, data QA&QC, and IM standard operating procedures and guidelines • Design, develop, and manage databases and ETL/ELT tools • Support the design, development, and testing of data collection forms using ArcGIS Survey123, ODK, Kobo, or other platforms • Contribute to developing, testing, and deploying the Global Operations Information Management System (GO-IMS) and other IM tools • Support HALO programmes with information management activities as directed by the line manager and programme management • Develop web/desktop maps and dashboards using Esri ArcGIS technology • Create database queries and reporting tools • Work closely with programme/project staff to ensure data is fit for purpose • Provide information management support and training to technical and non-technical staff • Produce training materials and user manuals • Travel to programmes as required • Uphold HALO's core values, policies, code of conduct, and safeguarding standards
• Knowledge and recent work experience working with relational databases and GIS. • Experience in utilising SQL for reporting and data manipulation • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite • Good communication, leadership and management skills • Willing to travel to different countries around the world with limited internet access and modest living conditions • Able to work with people of different backgrounds, cultures, and religions • Resilient, with the ability to adapt in a complex, fast-paced, changing environment • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision • Experience of delivering priority work within strict timelines • Good working knowledge of the English language • Regular travel to HALO programmes • Formal education in computer sciences or data related field (desirable) • Good presentation skills (desirable) • CV no more than 2 pages and cover letter no more than 1 page, in English • Cover letter tailored to this position
