📋 Description

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and stabilize a legacy system built on VB6, Classic ASP, and related technologies • Analyze complex business logic and system dependencies • Identify risks, performance issues, and architectural limitations • Improve code quality, reliability, and maintainability • Design and implement modernization initiatives, including APIs, microservices, backend services, and replacement or complementary frontends • Work with Oracle databases through existing packages and embedded queries • Support future database migration initiatives from Oracle to PostgreSQL • Collaborate with product, business, and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions • Use GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaboration • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions • Work with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services • Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate analysis, development, and troubleshooting • Identify improvement opportunities and propose actionable solutions • Gain understanding of the legacy platform, reduce recurring issues, improve documentation, deliver modernization components, establish AI-assisted workflows, and become a trusted technical reference

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience as a software engineer or Full Stack Developer • 6+ years of experience working with Git and GitHub workflows • 6+ years of experience with debugging and troubleshooting • 6+ years of experience with .NET Core / .NET • 4+ years of experience navigating unfamiliar, undocumented, or poorly documented codebases • 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL • 4+ years of experience building, consuming, and supporting RESTful APIs • 3+ years of experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth and JWT • 3+ years of experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably React • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure • 3+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions • 2+ years of experience with Oracle databases • 1+ years of experience using AI coding assistants in daily workflows • Experience with legacy-system modernization, database migration projects, enterprise systems, modular or service-oriented architectures, infrastructure-as-code, cloud automation, CI/CD optimization, deployment strategies, system design, and data modeling patterns • Ability to work with confidentiality requirements relating to Protected Health Information, Personal Identifiable Information, and Privacy Records • Technical strength, curiosity, initiative, resilience, pragmatism, and clear communication
