📋 Description

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain robust services across the entire stack • Own API design, database modeling, migrations, event flows, and mobile UI/UX implementation • Architect high-concurrency Go backend systems handling significant request volumes and data throughput • Participate in on-call rotations for systems built • Define and maintain client-server contracts, including API versioning, offline sync state, idempotency, retries, and authentication lifecycles • Develop and maintain native mobile features using Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose • Push mobile updates to the App Store or Google Play • Write Architecture Decision Records, system design specifications, and actionable code reviews • Work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment with minimal management and detailed task definition • Organize work and make decisions according to declared goals

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience building production software • 3+ years with Go (Golang) as the primary backend language • Proven track record of building and operating backend services at scale, supported by production metrics • Deep expertise in either iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) • At least one native mobile app personally shipped to the App Store or Google Play and maintained post-launch • Hands-on experience designing client-server protocols, including offline behavior, push/pull synchronization, idempotency keys, and token management • Advanced PostgreSQL proficiency, including complex queries, indexing, data modeling, and schema migrations • Hands-on on-call experience for systems personally built and deployed • Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, with critical review and refactoring of generated code • Exceptional written English for technical design documents, RFCs, and code reviews • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and teamwork abilities • Flexibility to attend remote meetings during the evening when required • Ability to work during Pacific Time Zone regular business hours • Background check required for employment • Nice-to-haves: gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Kafka, NATS, GCP Pub/Sub, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres performance optimization, offline-first mobile architecture, Keychain/Keystore, APNs/FCM, Kotlin Multiplatform, Fastlane, Bitrise, Xcode Cloud, agency/studio/consultancy experience, public technical writing, or open-source contributions
