📋 Description

• Conduct structured market deep dives to evaluate opportunity size, value chain dynamics, key players, and customer unmet needs across targeted Building Materials platforms. • Translate customer and market insights into clear strategic positioning and value propositions using structured frameworks such as Playing to Win , STP, Jobs-to-Be-Done. • Design actionable marketing strategies and go-to-market plans, including product, pricing, channel, promotion, and partnership strategies. • Partner closely with technical, commercial, and operations teams to ensure market requirements are incorporated into new product development and commercialization efforts. • Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, contributing to the development, prioritization, and execution of Hexion’s marketing growth strategies. • Lead development of internal and external communication tools to drive alignment and influence industry stakeholders, including specifiers, contractors, and regulators. • Monitor competitive and regulatory trends and synthesize implications for Hexion’s positioning in the market. • Track progress of strategic initiatives and recommend course corrections based on evolving market dynamics and results.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Chemical/Materials Engineering, or related discipline required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of B2B marketing, strategy, product management, or business consulting experience, preferably in industrial materials, chemicals, or building products. • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new markets and uncover actionable insights through qualitative and quantitative research. • Strong command of strategic marketing models (e.g., Playing to Win , STP, Porter’s Five Forces) and experience applying them to real-world business problems. • Track record of creating and executing successful go-to-market strategies, including market mix development (product, price, promotion, place). • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority. • Strong financial acumen with experience evaluating business cases, VCM impact, and scenario modeling. • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills tailored to both technical and commercial audiences. • Proven agility and execution rigor in dynamic, high-growth environments.
