• Conduct energy assessments and study site visits. • Energy benchmarking and related analysis. • Conduct technical analysis independently and under the supervision of senior engineers/energy managers. • Produce professional energy assessment/study reports and other construction documents independently, and in collaboration with other team members. • Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors in person, via phone, and in writing. • Conduct research and analysis on topics related to energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization. • Support other FRESCo projects and services.
• Post-secondary education in Mechanical Systems, Engineering (mechanical or electrical), Energy Management or other equivalent education or experience. • Experience with conducting energy assessments and/or studies in multi-family and/or commercial facilities including site visits/data collection, analysis and professional report generation. • Familiarity with building retrofit or construction projects, ideally in multi-unit residential and commercial buildings. • Familiarity with multi-unit residential/commercial building HVAC systems required. • Familiarity with building electrical systems and building enclosure is an asset. • Experience with Microsoft Office, with intermediate + proficiency in Excel. • Excellent English communication skills, including strong writing skills. • Valid class five B.C. driver’s license. • Own a vehicle, able and willing to travel for site visits locally regularly and occasionally on multi-day trips to non-local areas.
