📋 Description

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting • Assist team as needed with revenue recognition activities in compliance with ASC 606 • Oversee lease accounting and ensure proper classification and compliance • Prepare and manage property tax documentation and 1099 submissions • Assist with audit preparation and documentation of financial controls • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal standards • Maintain and document accounting processes for control and efficiency improvements • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive finance-related projects and enhancements

🎯 Requirements

• Highschool or GED required • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or subsequent Accounting coursework • CPA certification a plus, but not required • Proven accounting experience at a public accounting firm strongly valued as well as subsequent insurance industry experience • 3+ years of work experience in accounting roles demonstrating a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including audit preparation and financial controls • Working knowledge of Workday Financials or similar ERP systems • Preferred experience working with large insurance brokers or financial services organizations • Preferred familiarity with process documentation and optimization • Preferred advanced proficiency in GAAP, financial reconciliations, and report generation • High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.
