📋 Description
• Lead month-end close activities related to inventory, including account reconciliations and posting journal entries • Review and validate transactions impacting inventory (purchase orders, receipts, fulfillment, invoices, warehouse adjustments, physical counts) • Assist with management and reconciliation of inventory accounts across NetSuite and Warehouse Management Systems • Prepare detailed inventory accounting schedules and workpapers to support SOX compliance and audits • Lead ad hoc projects related to inventory and internal fulfillment operations, including audit support and system enhancements • Review deliverables from outsourced accounting partners and maintain process documentation and training materials • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and documentation within the inventory accounting function
🎯 Requirements
• 2–4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with direct exposure to inventory or cost accounting • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a top-tier university • Big 4 accounting firm experience strongly preferred • CPA or active progress toward CPA certification is strongly preferred • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to assess and interpret large volumes of transactional data • Advanced Excel skills; ability to build and maintain large excel models • Experience with ERP systems (especially NetSuite) is a plus • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to evaluate complex accounting issues and recommend solutions • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in both in-person and remote environments
