📋 Description

• Record and categorize all financial transactions including income, expenses, and transfers in accounting software. • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure books match financial statements. • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) entries and ensure timely processing. • Prepare and send invoices, track outstanding payments, and follow up on collections. • Maintain an organized chart of accounts and ensure consistent categorization across all entries. • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). • Support the preparation of financial documentation for audits, tax filings, or compliance requirements. • Process payroll entries and ensure accurate recording of payroll-related transactions. • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for all transactions. • Liaise with external accountants or CPAs to provide clean books and supporting documentation at period close.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of bookkeeping experience. • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar). • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and financial transaction recording. • Experience with bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close processes. • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts or clients simultaneously. • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial data management. • Associate's degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (e.g., QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor). • Experience in ecommerce or multi-entity bookkeeping. • Familiarity with payroll processing software (Gusto, ADP, or similar). • Experience supporting tax preparation and working with external CPAs. • Knowledge of sales tax compliance and filings across multiple jurisdictions. • Background working in a bookkeeping firm or managing multiple client books.
