📋 Description

• Build the people function from scratch as the sole dedicated HR resource, reporting directly to senior leadership • Own recruitment from entry-level hiring through executive search • Personally lead sourcing, assessment, and closing for COO, CMO, VP, and other senior leadership searches • Plan resources and headcount with business unit leaders • Design and manage onboarding and offboarding • Design performance evaluations and quarterly check-ins • Implement KPIs and create a measurable accountability culture • Identify and address employee fit issues, including documented transitions when needed • Build career maps and development paths • Develop managers’ leadership capability • Lead organizational design as the company scales • Handle employee relations and day-to-day people issues • Write, maintain, and administer policies, procedures, and the employee handbook • Maintain compliance with US employment regulations across EOR and contractor frameworks • Lead change initiatives, communicate them clearly, and ensure consistent enforcement • Audit the current team, establish accountability, create the recruiting function, and begin searches for key operational and sales roles

🎯 Requirements

• Senior people, talent, or HR leadership experience in a growing entrepreneurial environment • Verifiable experience scaling a company from roughly 40 to 50 employees to 100 or more • Sophisticated executive search capability, including personally headhunting and closing senior leadership hires • Significant exposure to US employment practices and compliance, including at-will employment, EOR and contractor frameworks, and distributed teams • Strong commercial judgment, including headcount ROI, labor efficiency, and performance metrics • Exceptional spoken and written English • Executive presence and directness to influence senior leaders and deliver difficult feedback • Self-managing, with a track record of creating people processes from scratch • Full commitment to working US Central Standard Time business hours • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred • Updated resume with details on organizations built or transformed, employee populations managed, and senior positions personally recruited • 1–2 minute Loom video introducing yourself and describing relevant scaling and underperformance-management experience • Written response of one page maximum outlining the first 90 days in the role • All three application components must be submitted to proceed • Nice to have: experience in operations-intensive verticals, US-based companies or workforces, EOR platforms such as Deel or Remote, and Latin America or South Africa with US company operating culture
