📋 Description

• Manage teams of 5 to 10 workers per project, keeping work output on track and on schedule • Monitor output quality and flag issues before they affect delivery • Provide direction, feedback, and accountability throughout projects • Maintain engagement and performance across a distributed, async workforce • Own operations for the data labeling workflow from team assignment through finished output • Coordinate accurate, timely handoff of labeled outputs to engineering • Maintain records of project status, team assignments, and output tracking • Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks • Manage communications across Slack and email • Build a reliable workforce producing consistent-quality output • Onboard new team members and communicate expectations • Surface recurring issues, feedback, and improvement opportunities to leadership • Complete application, video introduction, assessment if applicable, recruitment interview, executive interview, client interview, and background/reference check as part of the selection process

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing a distributed workforce, community, or knowledge-worker team • Background in community management, workforce operations, or people management in an async remote environment • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Ability to give clear direction and feedback across a distributed team • Highly organized; able to track multiple team members and project workstreams simultaneously • Ability to manage output quality without understanding technical production details • Proactive communication and early issue escalation • Self-directed and reliable in a fully remote, async environment • Nice to have: experience managing Slack communities or distributed knowledge-worker groups • Nice to have: background in data labeling, AI training data, or knowledge-work operations • Nice to have: prior forward-deployed or embedded operations experience • Nice to have: familiarity with Notion, Airtable, or similar workflow-tracking platforms • Nice to have: experience in an early-stage AI or technology company • Updated resume required • Short Loom video of 1 to 2 minutes required; candidates must submit a Loom video to advance
