📋 Description

• Own the complete bookkeeping cycle for assigned clients, from daily transaction entry through month-end close and financial reporting • Categorize and reconcile transactions accurately by account, class, job, or cost center • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoice processing and customer billing support • Accrue expenses monthly and post adjusting journal entries • Maintain construction job cost tracking for labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and equipment • Support WIP reporting and percentage-of-completion tracking • Assist with progress billing and lien waiver documentation coordination • Track subcontractor payments and support 1099 preparation • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow report packages • Provide actionable financial summaries and proactively flag variances, anomalies, and cash flow concerns • Support quarterly and year-end reporting and coordinate with external CPAs or tax preparers

🎯 Requirements

• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA licensure — required • Advanced QuickBooks Online proficiency, including company setup, chart of accounts design, class tracking, reconciliations, and reporting • Experience managing full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients simultaneously across different industries • Demonstrated experience with construction bookkeeping and job costing • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, clean financials • Self-directed and organized; able to manage workload and meet deadlines independently • Strong written communication skills for client-facing financial summaries and correspondence • Reliable remote setup with high-speed internet
