• You will own the complete accounting cycle for each assigned client — from transaction entry through financial reporting. • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including transaction entry, categorization, and coding across all client accounts • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for all accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable — processing invoices, payments, and collections follow-up as needed • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other period-end adjustments • Maintain the general ledger for each client, ensuring accuracy and completeness at all times • Lead the month-end and year-end close process for all assigned clients, meeting internal and client-facing deadlines • Prepare monthly financial statements for each client including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports • Deliver reporting packages that are clear, accurate, and tailored to each client's needs and level of financial sophistication • Perform variance analysis and flag significant trends, anomalies, or concerns to the client or firm management proactively • Assist with budget preparation and forecast updates as needed for assigned clients • Support year-end reporting and preparation of supporting schedules for tax filings or external review • Communicate directly with assigned clients in both English and Spanish (if needed)— conducting meetings, responding to inquiries, and delivering financial updates professionally in both languages • Gather documentation, clarify transactions, and provide financial explanations in a clear, client-friendly manner • Build and maintain strong working relationships with each client, serving as their trusted accounting point of contact • Ensure data integrity across platforms and maintain organized, clean client files within each system
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish — written and verbal fluency in both languages is required for this role • 3 or more years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or multi-client environment • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) — required • Working knowledge of NetSuite or demonstrated ability to work across enterprise-level accounting platforms • Strong understanding of GAAP, the full accounting cycle, and financial statement preparation • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail — your books are always clean and your clients always know it • Self-directed and reliable in a fully remote work environment
