📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance for Australian clients • Handle 6-8 SME clients across various industries • Manage monthly reconciliations, BAS preparation, payroll processing, and year-end accounts • Direct client communication and preparation of management reports • Perform financial analysis and support senior accountants • Maintain accurate records and ensure ATO compliance • Identify process improvements and deliver timely financial information

🎯 Requirements

• 2-4+ years of practical accounting experience in an Australian practice environment • Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation, BAS requirements, and superannuation regulations • Proficiency in Xero and MYOB (experience with QuickBooks advantageous) • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client portfolios with varying complexity and deadlines • Strong attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies and reconciliation issues • Experience preparing financial statements, management reports, and cashflow forecasts • Excellent written English communication skills for client correspondence and report preparation • Self-motivated work approach with ability to prioritise tasks across multiple clients without constant supervision • Experience working remotely with strong organisational and time management capabilities • Comfortable with month-end and quarter-end deadline pressure • Proactive communicator who escalates issues early and presents solutions
