📋 Description
• Work according verbal/written instructions for routine open pit and workshop activities. • load, Assemble and transport materials using mobile equipment i.e. Articulated service truck. • Be responsible for ensuring equipment being used i.e. service truck, is taken for service, faults reported and taken for repair when required. • Assist with maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and parts as a member of the service team. • May be assigned to specific trade area (e.g., mechanical) and carry out some routine aspects of the trade activity. • Apply basic knowledge of (part of) the service technician area, such as mechanics / materials. • Complete basic reports and/or documents of work completed, as required. • Communicate with the customer, where applicable. • Network and attend local training. • Learn how to prepare and execute all activities in line with SHEQ rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promote awareness, including addressing anomalies to other team members and or management.
🎯 Requirements
• Bear certificate of competence or equivalent for ability to operate an articulated truck/ADT • Be a qualified craftsman with a craft certificate in mechanical or equivalent. • Have at least 3 years’ experience in operating an articulated truck on an open pit mine site. • Have basic knowledge of the mining environment and application of equipment. • Experience working as a service man will be an added advantage.
