📋 Description

• Build and lead a product engineering team (5-7 engineers) focused on financial correctness and compliance • Design and deliver a secure, scalable, auditable, and maintainable trust accounting subsystem • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of the trust accounting subsystem • Collaborate deeply with Product, Finance, Legal, and other Engineering teams to align goals and execution • Establish and refine processes to improve delivery speed, system reliability, and team autonomy • Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of precision, ownership, and continuous improvement • Establish engineering practices emphasizing quality, resilience, and observability • Contribute technical context to discussions and decisions while fostering transparency and accountability • Influence architecture, processes, and hiring for a greenfield initiative

🎯 Requirements

• Must be physically based within the European region • 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager or similar (CTO, Head of Engineering, Director) with direct people management responsibilities • Strong foundation in software engineering; able to engage in technical and architectural discussions • Proven experience leading engineering teams in a product-oriented environment (ideally SaaS or platform businesses) • Ability to drive execution: align team goals, manage delivery timelines, remove blockers • Track record of mentoring engineers and fostering growth • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in distributed/remote settings • Comfortable working in agile environments with fast-moving priorities and cross-functional teams • Fluent English • Familiarity with fintech and accounting is a plus (not required)
