📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Localization Specialists • Create psychological safety, ownership, and continuous growth through feedback, performance conversations, and data-driven quality improvements • Manage and scale the external freelancer network from sourcing and onboarding through quality standards, communication, and offboarding • Translate business goals into localization execution plans • Bring market insights into planning and bridge Localization Specialists and Localization Project Managers • Validate strategic priorities against team capacity and market realities • Own complex localization challenges, including new market launches and AI-human review models • Identify quality and delivery issues, determine root causes, and implement sustainable process improvements with cross-functional partners • Investigate performance anomalies and drive end-to-end resolutions • Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI and localization technologies with language owners • Build feedback loops to improve quality, efficiency, and localization outcomes across markets

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in localization, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing in-house linguists • Hands-on experience as a translator, editor, or proofreader • Experience coordinating freelancers or external contributors across multiple markets, including onboarding and offboarding • Strong analytical ability using quality scores, OKR trends, and delivery data • Ability to connect localization work to business outcomes • Ability to work with Marketing, Product, and Engineering stakeholders • Proficiency with CAT tools, project management systems, and AI platforms such as Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude • Experience with AI search readiness, structured data, entity optimization, or AI crawler monitoring • Familiarity with SurferSEO, Accuranker, or localization-adjacent SEO tools • Background in or alongside high-growth, multi-locale product companies
