• Review and approve large and custom CAD drawings. • Assist with solution presentations for large projects. • Perform startups, commissioning, and customer acceptance tests for critical projects. • Work with engineering to develop new products. • Monitor and correct project activities. • Assist Sales Associates with the lead conversion process by: a. Providing special project quote support b. Produce and deliver customer training seminars c. Create content for Technical Application Notes. • Assist the Customer Support department with Level 4 support and critical field service calls. • Assist Manufacturing by dealing with critical UL-related issues.
• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline). • Strong understanding of greenhouse and grow-room automation systems, including sensors, irrigation, lighting, ventilation, and climate control. • Ability to read, interpret, and validate CAD drawings (control panels, wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts) to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. • Familiar with PLCs, HMIs, communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP). • Experience with system commissioning, calibration, and customer acceptance testing. • Understanding of UL compliance, panel fabrication, and electrical safety standards. • Skilled in troubleshooting automation systems, controllers, and communication networks. • Capable of producing and maintaining technical documentation, application notes, and training materials. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Familiarity with IoT-based or cloud-connected automation systems is a plus.
