• Conducting training sessions covering areas such as animal abuse and fighting investigations, animal cruelty and violent crimes, equine cruelty investigations and police/dog encounters; • Fostering relationships with students and host agencies on behalf of Humane World for Animals; • Consulting with the Law Enforcement Training Coordinator on training opportunities; • Coordinating training schedules with the hiring and training demands of the Law Enforcement Training Center; will also be formulating a teaching outline and determining instructional methods including individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops; • Administering testing for trainees to measure progress and effectiveness of training; will be responsible for reporting on the progress of employees during training periods.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred. • One year of related training experience required; • Experience working closely with law enforcement on animal crimes required; • Must have strong knowledge of animal cruelty laws and investigations and a solid understanding of the link between animal abuse and interpersonal violence; • Excellent verbal communication skills and experience within public speaking; • Must be able to and willing to travel.
