Humanistischer Verband Berlin-Brandenburg KdöR is a regional humanist association and nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of social, educational and cultural services across Berlin and Brandenburg. The Verband represents the interests of non-religious people and promotes humanist values such as tolerance, self-determination and solidarity. Its activities include running kindergartens, a free humanist primary school, vocational and higher education institutions, adult education programs, hospice and palliative services, youth and community programs, life ceremonies (naming, coming-of-age, weddings, funerals), volunteer engagement and social support services.

📋 Description

• Manage social media channels on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn • Regularly monitor selected social media accounts in the humanist, civil society, and sociopolitical sectors • Identify suitable content for reposts and editorial work • Research relevant topics, current debates, and awareness days • Develop ideas for original social media content and formats • Prepare and create posts, Stories, and Reels • Adapt content for target audiences on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn • Create and adapt graphics and simple videos, for example using Canva • Support editorial planning • Contribute your own ideas and experience to the ongoing development of social media communications

🎯 Requirements

• Practical experience with social media and a good understanding of platform-specific content and formats • Experience creating or managing social media content, professionally or on a volunteer basis • A good sense of relevant topics, engaging content, and current social media formats • Interest in sociopolitical issues and alignment with humanist values and human rights • Strong language skills and excellent written and spoken German • Proficiency with standard digital tools • Structured, independent, and reliable approach to work • Experience with Canva or comparable applications is an advantage • Experience with Reels and short-form videos, community management, social media strategy, or social media analytics is particularly welcome • No specific degree or formal training in communications or social media is required
