📋 Description

• Designing and executing the migration of a large-scale Microsoft SQL Server environment into PostgreSQL architecture. • Contributing to the transformation of a legacy monolithic database into a distributed PostgreSQL platform. • Responsible for database migration strategy, schema redesign, performance optimization, and architecture improvements. • Collaborating with software engineers, architects, and technical stakeholders. • Exploring and integrating AI-assisted engineering tools into daily workflow to improve productivity.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Database Engineer, Database Migration Engineer, or similar role. • Strong expertise with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server. • Solid experience planning and executing database migration projects from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL. • Advanced knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL. • Experience designing, optimizing, and refactoring complex database schemas and queries. • Strong understanding of database internals, indexing strategies, query optimization, partitioning, replication, and performance tuning. • Experience working with distributed database architectures and scalable read/write environments. • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, database architecture, and data modeling principles. • Experience working in Agile development environments. • Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools.
