📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs • Own code through development, deployment, and maintenance • Diagnose and resolve production issues • Challenge business requirements to deliver the best outcomes • Drive adoption of new technologies and contribute to the technology roadmap • Mentor the team • Conduct technical interviews • Provide occasional national or international travel as required (0–15%, depending on project needs)

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience as a Senior Java Developer (Java 17+/21) on complex, production-grade backend systems • Proven hands-on experience running, maintaining and troubleshooting Shopify integrations in production • Strong experience with Spring Boot 3.x, building and maintaining scalable services and APIs • Solid experience designing, developing and maintaining GraphQL APIs • Strong hands-on experience with AWS • Fluent English (written and spoken) • Must be based in Portugal • Experience with AWS DynamoDB and AWS secrets management solutions (e.g., Secrets Manager) • Experience with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies in asynchronous, event-driven architectures • Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability practices (monitoring and distributed tracing) • Experience mentoring engineers and taking part in technical hiring
