📋 Description

• Develop software products and systems • Analyze and evaluate existing and proposed systems • Create and modify computer programs, systems, and related procedures to process data • Write code, test, debug, and perform systems analysis • Handle requests for feature changes • Troubleshoot and fix application issues with Technical Support, the Hydrawise Product Manager, and Firmware team • Work with the Australian Development team on feature enhancements, code releases, and bug fixes • Lead feature development or internal projects with the Product Manager • Mentor Software Engineers on code quality and industry best practices • Monitor and analyze application metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively • Provide functional and operational support for assigned applications, systems, and technologies • Interpret technical information for non-technical team members

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or a combination of education and relevant work experience • Minimum seven years of progressive experience in software development • Experience in HTML, JavaScript, Typescript, React JS, React Native, PHP, Python, IaC, MySQL, MQTT, IOT, Oriented Programming (Proficient with interfaces), or Functional Programming preferred • Ability to accurately perform troubleshooting of software, hardware, and database issues • Proven experience developing or maintaining a significantly sized application • Ability to read, understand and modify codebases written by third parties • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Advanced proficiency in use of computers and network systems • Highly technical, hands-on coding ability with attention to detail, time management and organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Ability to work under minimal supervision and within timelines • Ability to work flexible hours to collaborate with a global team • Ability to lead projects and collaborate with internal customers to ensure adherence to requirements • Ability to travel domestically and internationally • Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport • Strong knowledge in at least one of: Object Oriented Programming, Functional Programming, Database Normalization, or Model View Controller architecture • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services including Aurora RDS, EC2/Linux, Kubernetes, or Serverless preferred • Strong experience with React Native and ReactJS, PHP, or AWS preferred
