• Maintain billing across all active legal matters and ensure all entries are up-to-date. • Issue invoices through Smokeball or prepare draft invoices for solicitor review. • Apply the appropriate Victorian, Federal, and Family Law Court scales when needed (nice to have, but not essential). • Manage cost disclosure requirements, both at the commencement of new matters and when thresholds are reached. • Assist with trust account transaction entries under supervision. • Review, assign, and reconcile emails to the correct matters • Cross-check billing with the legal team to verify accuracy and confirm matter completion. • Support the goal of maintaining a consistent monthly billing cycle for all clients. • Provide general administrative assistance as required • Potentially handle additional bookkeeping responsibilities
• Experience in Billing Accounts and Bookkeeping Assistant (at least 2 years) • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (critical for managing and assigning emails). • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and coordinate with a remote team.
