📋 Description

• Join a collaborative Agile engineering team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud-native applications. • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications supporting CBP systems. • Deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software while collaborating closely with engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders. • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications supporting both legacy modernization and new development initiatives. • Build scalable backend services using Python, Java, and Spring Boot. • Develop responsive, modern user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, Angular Material, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Design and consume RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture. • Develop applications within Linux containerized environments. • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, testing, demonstrations, and production releases. • Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, stakeholders, and end users throughout the software development lifecycle. • Enhance existing applications through performance optimization, feature enhancements, and technical modernization. • Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team. • Analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative, scalable solutions. • Help ensure software quality, reliability, and timely delivery. • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture. • Continuously evaluate and adopt modern development tools, frameworks, and best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship. • Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). • 7+ years of professional software development experience. • Experience developing applications within Linux containerized environments. • Demonstrated experience with: • - Python • - Java • - Spring Boot • - Angular • - TypeScript • - JavaScript • - HTML/CSS • - PostgreSQL • - AWS • - Microservices Architecture • - • - Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs. • - Strong understanding of Angular development, including Angular Material, component architecture, state management, and UI performance optimization. • - Experience developing and maintaining Python applications, backend services, APIs, or automation in enterprise environments. • - Experience integrating Angular frontends with Spring Boot microservices. • - Experience building Single Page Applications (SPA). • - Experience creating reusable libraries and responsive user interfaces. • - Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and software engineering best practices. • - Experience using Git and collaborative source control workflows. • - Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, requirements management, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration management, and release management. • - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. • - Passion for delivering high-quality, user-centric software solutions.
