📋 Description
• Provide coding and abstracting services for outpatient, pediatric surgery CPT records • Review medical records to assign diagnostic and procedural codes • Ensure appropriate DRG assignment • Maintain effective communication and professional image • Participate in team training and coding education
🎯 Requirements
• 3 years or more of related medical coding experience • Pediatric Facility, outpatient, surgery experience • Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPS, and CPT coding principles and guidelines • Must pass coding proficiency test • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required • Either CCS, CPC certification
