📋 Description

• Assist in leading revenue recognition process in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASC606, IFRS15) • Ensure timely and accurate revenue reporting across all integrated business units • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close • Prepare journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations related to deferred revenue, deferred costs, unbilled revenue, etc. • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accounting professionals; assign responsibilities and oversee work • Review, interpret, and monitor contracts, amendments, renewals, and terminations to ensure accurate revenue accounting treatment • Collaborate with RevOps / Sales / Legal / Customer Success teams to understand contract terms • Coordinate with AP, AR, and Collections teams to resolve revenue-related issues • Maintain and improve internal controls around revenue processes • Perform variance analyses and support external audits of revenue recognition processes • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for revenue accounting

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting (preferably in professional services or legal consulting)/ financial reporting • Minimum of 3-5 years of revenue accounting supervisory experience • Direct experience implementing or managing ASC606, IFRS15 • Excellent analytical skills; attention to detail; ability to reconcile complex datasets • Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally (with legal, sales, operations) • Demonstrated leadership / management experience; ability to coach and develop staff • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required • Strong technical accounting knowledge; deep understanding of revenue recognition, contract accounting, deferred and unbilled revenue • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with revenue management tools (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Dynamics) a plus
