📋 Description

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for IEEFA Australia • Review invoices and transactions in Dext and ensure accurate account, program, and grant coding • Monitor bank balances, payment activity, and supporting financial documentation • Coordinate with the US Finance team on financial coding and reporting across entities • Serve as primary relationship manager for Accounting for Good • Manage Australian payroll and payment processing • Review monthly bank reconciliations and management reports • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee leave balances in Xero • Track, code, and reconcile payroll expenses • Support establishment and ongoing financial management of EOR arrangements for international employees • Manage EOR-related expenses, including invoice review, coding, payment, and reconciliation • Assist the CEO and Operations Manager with program, grant, and special project budgets • Monitor actual expenses against budgets and alert on significant variances • Support grant financial reporting, including preparation and review of financial data and expenditure reports • Manage procurement activities and vendor relationships • Review vendor contracts and coordinate with external legal counsel as needed • Ensure procurement and vendor documentation comply with IEEFA policies and approval requirements • Serve as primary point of contact for IEEFA Australia’s annual audit • Coordinate audit preparation and information requests • Maintain financial controls, policies, and regulatory compliance • Work with the Operations Manager on ACNC and DGR status requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting operations • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Familiarity with grant-funded organizations and grant financial reporting • Demonstrated competency with Xero • Experience managing payroll and accounts payable and receivable functions • Experience working with or managing external financial and employment service providers • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Effective communicator who can work across teams, time zones, and cultures • Flexible, team-oriented approach with willingness to work as part of a diverse global workforce • Highly organized; able to check work products for accuracy, set priorities, and meet objectives and deadlines with limited direction while working remotely • Commitment to IEEFA’s mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy • Permanent working rights in Australia • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector • Global and/or multi-entity finance experience • Experience managing Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements and related financial operations across multiple countries • Experience with Quickbooks or other global accounting software
