📋 Description

• Design and implement user interfaces using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js • Translate UI/UX designs into functional, responsive, and interactive web pages • Optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility • Collaborate with designers to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs • Maintain code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing • Develop server-side logic using languages such as Python, Java, or .NET • Build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support front-end functionality • Integrate with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage, retrieval, and management • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure access • Monitor and optimize performance of server-side processes • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software reliability • Document technical specifications and maintain up-to-date documentation • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Management • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science or a related field • 4+ years’ experience in software development, DevOps, or platform engineering roles • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js • Experience with build tools and preprocessors such as Webpack, Sass, or Less • Experience with Node.js, Express, Python (Django/Flask), Java (Spring), .NET, or Ruby on Rails • Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis • Proficient with Git and platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket • Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Selenium, or Cypress • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like AWS • Familiarity with VA Lighthouse infrastructure, tools, and compliance requirements • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance • Strong organizational skills • Preferred: Active VA Public Trust • Preferred: Prior experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of Veterans Affairs • Preferred: Familiarity with VA Lighthouse tools and infrastructure • Preferred: Certifications in full stack development, cloud technologies, or secure software development • Preferred: Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment
