📋 Description

• Work on core systems that ingest, process, and make sense of real-time data from hardware devices to improve healthcare outcomes • Enhance data pipelines and transition architecture from point-to-point to event-driven systems • Partner with engineering leadership to evolve core data models and APIs • Drive technical excellence, defining best practices for integration and end-to-end testing to improve development velocity and stability • Lead development and maintenance of integrations with third-party systems like Electronic Health Records (EHRs), building clean, well-documented APIs • Ensure reliable communication between systems and a diverse range of external platforms • Mentor and elevate other engineers, particularly on distributed systems, AWS best practices, and secure development

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development • Deep expertise with AWS infrastructure, including serverless technologies (Lambda, Fargate), message queues (SQS/SNS), and data services (Kinesis, DynamoDB, RDS) • Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js • Experience with React is a plus • Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB • Strong understanding of data modeling principles for scalable APIs • Experience mentoring engineers and knowledge of distributed systems, AWS best practices, and secure development • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities • Start-up experience is a plus
