📋 Description

• Identify knowledge gaps and develop intelligence leads to satisfy customer intelligence collection requirements • Monitor open and restricted-access sources, including underground forums, marketplaces and instant messaging groups • Uncover and assess cyber threat actors’ motivations, goals, targets, capabilities and modus operandi • Proactively track and attribute financially motivated cyber threat actors • Collaborate on special research projects involving cybercriminal infrastructure, malware campaigns, cybercriminal commodities and compromised data • Communicate collection and research findings and assessments through clear, concise reporting in English • Respond to customer Requests for Information (RFI) and ad-hoc requests from internal Intel 471 team members • Enable customers to gain the full value of Intel 471’s Cybercrime Intelligence products

🎯 Requirements

• In-depth understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including risks and threats, actors and groups, motivations and goals, tools and capabilities, attacks and campaigns • Previous professional experience monitoring and researching the cybercrime underground, including restricted-access forums, marketplaces, instant messaging channels and other criminal ecosystems • Strong understanding and experience with operational security (OPSEC) and persona development, preferably within the cybercrime underground area of focus • Hands-on experience in vHUMINT collection methods, including creation, development and management of personas in cybercrime-focused environments is preferred • Technical skills associated with malware analysis, exploits and vulnerabilities are an advantage • Ability to work independently and within a close-knit team environment, covering proactive research activities with little to no direction • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills in English • Proficiency in at least one additional language: Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, or French • Previous experience in cyber threat research or cybercrime investigation fields is ideal • Degree in Cyber Security, Intelligence Analysis, Computer Science or adjacent fields is highly desirable
