📋 Description

• Primary focus: build, maintain, and monitor virtual infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure as Code • Ensure infrastructure is secure, fault-tolerant, well documented, and backed-up properly • Write custom software, tools, and scripts to solve complex operational problems and automate tasks • Build, maintain, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines using IaC and automation tools • Develop custom tools, scripts, and services to automate operational tasks, parse log data, diagnose system issues, and integrate services via APIs • Collaborate closely with software engineers to provide the best possible development experience • Implement application level changes to rollout new tools and adapt to new infrastructure • Automate processes and workflows to reduce workload and accelerate shipping • Create and manage technical infrastructure documentation and training materials • Work with software engineers to ensure application updates fit with infrastructure and modify it as needed • Monitor virtual infrastructure and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to respond to alerts • Drive tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision

🎯 Requirements

• Strong, demonstrable experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and Terragrunt • 3+ years of experience working in infrastructure and operations in an SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering role • Strong, demonstrable software development skills in a high-level language like Ruby, Python, or Go • Proficiency in writing code to parse data files, interact with APIs, and solve problems algorithmically • Experience with Cloud Computing: Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud • Strong experience in a Linux-based environment • Experience writing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and services • Familiar with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL • Ability to be resourceful to discover solutions and dig into unfamiliar code bases • Comfortable working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment • Can communicate clearly and seek help and support proactively • Takes ownership of tasks and drives them to completion, including writing documentation • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience • Attention to detail (applicants instructed to write the phrase “details matter” at the top of their resume) • Note: Not equipped to sponsor the U.K.'s Skilled Worker visa
