• Independently manage the day-to-day operations, configuration, and performance tuning of core enterprise services including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V). • Act as an advanced escalation point for complex technical issues, providing root cause analysis and solutions for infrastructure, authentication, and platform-level incidents. • Create and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate administrative tasks, monitor services, and enhance operational efficiency. • Lead infrastructure-related tasks within larger IT projects, independently manage assigned initiatives, and contribute to the design and planning of new systems and upgrades. • Provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior administrators and support staff. Help establish knowledge sharing frameworks and documentation standards. • Implement and optimize monitoring solutions to ensure proactive identification of system issues, performance bottlenecks, and capacity constraints. • Ensure infrastructure systems comply with security best practices, participate in vulnerability remediation, and support audit and compliance initiatives. • Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, procedures, and service delivery. Ensure accurate documentation is maintained for infrastructure components and SOPs. • Work closely with network, security, and application teams to deliver stable and secure environments. Assist in troubleshooting issues with cross-functional impact. • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents outside of standard business hours when necessary.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in systems administration or enterprise IT infrastructure support. • Demonstrated success in managing and improving core Windows-based systems in a high-uptime environment. • Advanced proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. • Strong experience with virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V). • Solid scripting ability in PowerShell and familiarity with other automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python). • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing basics). • Demonstrated operational expertise, proficient at independently managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing core infrastructure technologies. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; capable of diagnosing complex, multi-system issues. • Effective communicator with the ability to translate technical challenges into actionable plans. • Experience mentoring or coaching others on technical topics and systems best practices. • Proactively drives personal and professional development; stays informed on emerging technologies. • Demonstrates leadership qualities by owning deliverables, influencing team direction, and sharing knowledge
