📋 Description

• Design, implement, and operate the tracking setup for web and product data, including Google Tag Manager • Define event schemas and tracking plans • Ensure the consistent collection of relevant customer journey signals • Integrate clickstream and behavioral data from search, navigation, recommendations, product pages, and conversion processes into the data platform • Develop and operate scalable ETL and ELT pipelines, as well as reusable data products • Build the data foundation for A/B testing, personalization, and recommendation systems • Work with Kafka and event-based data sources, and integrate different systems into the platform • Ensure data quality, consent management, governance, and data protection for behavioral data • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX, Analytics, and Online Marketing • Contribute to the Data Engineering practice and further develop shared standards and ways of working

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience in Data Engineering or a comparable technical data role • Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python • Experience with ETL/ELT and data modeling • Solid experience with web and product tracking, particularly event tracking and clickstream data • Excellent knowledge of Google Tag Manager; server-side tagging experience is a plus • Experience with a modern data stack, ideally Snowflake, dbt, and Prefect • Experience with Kafka or comparable event and streaming technologies • Knowledge of AWS; Infrastructure as Code experience with Pulumi or Terraform is a plus • Understanding of consent management, GDPR, data quality, and data governance • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work • German at least at B2 level and strong English skills • Nice to have: Experience with GA4, server-side tracking, or a Customer Data Platform • Nice to have: Knowledge of A/B testing and CRO • Nice to have: Experience with personalization or recommendation data • Nice to have: Knowledge of search or discovery systems such as Algolia • Nice to have: Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or platform environments
