📋 Description

• Plan and lead the migration from legacy virtualization environments to a modern bare-metal OpenStack architecture • Design and optimize high-performance network infrastructures, including SDN, BGP routing, and firewall rule sets • Implement comprehensive automation and Infrastructure as Code to create autonomous self-healing mechanisms • Integrate AI agents and automated workflows for VM provisioning, monitoring responses, and security approvals • Develop API services and orchestration scripts, for example in Python or C# • Contribute to modern control-plane frontends • Support and mentor junior professionals and team members • Share best practices in modern data center operations • Lead the fundamental rebuild of a highly available, sovereign OpenStack-based private/public cloud infrastructure on dedicated bare-metal hardware

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of in-depth experience building, operating, and troubleshooting OpenStack cloud environments • In-depth knowledge of Linux administration, such as Debian/Ubuntu • Knowledge of common automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform, as well as IaC frameworks • Strong understanding of BGP, Anycast, SDN, and modern routing and routing security concepts • Strong programming skills, such as Python, C#, or comparable languages • Understanding of and practical interest in using AI tools to efficiently manage large-scale server environments • Dependable decision-making and ability to act effectively in critical situations • Strong strategic vision for sustainable system architectures • Fluent German and English • Nice to have: Experience implementing custom AI agents in IT infrastructures • Nice to have: Experience replacing or migrating large VMware environments • Nice to have: Prior knowledge of modern web frontends, such as Vue.js or React
