• Serve as a key member of the financial management team supporting the DOJ and its UFMS • Oversee budget execution, cost analysis, invoice reconciliation and processing, procurement tracking, and financial reporting • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and provide strategic insights to improve operational efficiency and fiscal accountability • Lead the formulation, execution, and monitoring of DOJ program budgets • Prepare budget forecasts and variance analyses to support decision-making • Review, reconcile, and process vendor invoices in UFMS • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receipts • Prepare and track procurement packages and ensure alignment with approved budgets • Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using UFMS data • Liaise with program managers, budget officers, and procurement specialists to align financial operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required • Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CGFM) preferred • Minimum of 8 years of experience in federal financial management, budgeting, and reporting • Strong understanding and relevant experience complying with the FAR • Prior experience with DOJ financial operations and UFMS strongly preferred • Minimum of 4 years’ recent experience leading a small team to ensure timely and informative responses, quality work products and effective communications across all stakeholders • Proficiency in UFMS and/or federal financial systems • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Expert level proficiency using MS Excel • Advanced level proficiency using MS Office Suite, Teams and SharePoint • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of federal budgeting, procurement, and financial reporting standards.
