📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate repairs and moderately complex maintenance on building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems • Recruit, interview, and hire Maintenance Technicians • Communicate candidate criteria to recruiters • Monitor team member turnover and implement improvements • Identify team strengths and development needs • Create or validate training curricula • Coach and mentor maintenance staff • Create and manage succession plans • Establish measurable individual and team goals and objectives • Solicit feedback and provide coaching and counseling • Conduct timely team member evaluations • Drive continuous improvement in operational metrics and organizational goals • Coordinate large teams during crises • Manage recognition and rewards fairly and consistently • Facilitate departmental idea and information exchange • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and monitor departmental cost trends • Supervise electrical, air conditioning, refrigeration, machine, pipe fitting, facilities, grounds maintenance, and machining functions • Coordinate personnel efforts, provide technical guidance, and review assignment progress • Direct movement of furniture, materials, and equipment • Coordinate the work of outside contractors • Resolve operational problems requiring emergency action

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Three to five years of experience in the maintenance field, including supervision, or demonstrated skills required to perform the job • Experience supervising maintenance functions and personnel • Knowledge of electrical, air conditioning, refrigeration, machine, pipe fitting, facilities, and grounds maintenance • Ability to perform or supervise machining operations including drilling, punching, milling, lathe, grinding, welding, cleaning, painting, and sheet metal fabrication • Ability to conduct preventive maintenance inspections and actions • Ability to train employees in new techniques, safe work habits, and housekeeping practices • Ability to coordinate outside contractors • Ability to adhere to safety, health, and company security policies
