📋 Description

• **Key Responsibilities** • - Contribute to the architecture and scalability of Jiffy’s platform, ensuring low latency, high availability, and secure operations. • - Build and enhance APIs and data pipelines connecting product, billing, and fulfillment systems for consistent cross-service communication. • - Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver customer-facing features that improve conversion rates, retention, and checkout experience. • - Ensure data integrity and reliability across distributed systems through resilient workflows and monitoring. • - Partner with DevOps to automate deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps tooling. • - Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and technical documentation to uphold engineering quality standards. • - Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize backend services to handle increasing traffic and scale efficiently. • - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and internal frameworks.

🎯 Requirements

• **Basic Qualifications** • - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field • - 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development • - Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python, or Node.js) • - Experience building RESTful and event-driven microservices at scale • - Solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) • - Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, message queues, and caching systems • - Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code • - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in distributed systems • **Preferred Qualifications** • - Experience in e-commerce • - Familiarity with subscription management, billing orchestration, or checkout optimization • - Knowledge of security best practices and compliance (e.g., PCI, SOC 2) • - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) • - Strong understanding of data modeling, API design, and asynchronous processing patterns
