📋 Description

• The Global Programme Manager for the Fugitive Gas & Fugitive Emissions Programme leads the development, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of a robust, systematic approach to identify, measure, report, and reduce fugitive emissions—including refrigerants (f-gases)—from pressurized equipment and systems across HSBC’s property portfolio. • The role integrates best practices, ensures compliance with all relevant legislation, and proactively supports HSBC’s Net Zero, ESG, and overall sustainability objectives. • The position is responsible for engaging stakeholders, establishing governance, implementing innovative solutions, and driving continuous improvement throughout all stages of fugitive emission management.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Programme Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred). • Minimum 8 years’ experience in global programme management, environmental/engineering project delivery, or operational excellence, ideally within sectors focused on GHG/fugitive emission management. • Proven expertise in emissions tracking and mitigation, regulatory compliance, asset management, and capital/operational planning. • In-depth knowledge of refrigerants/f-gases, fugitive emission sources, relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., EPA, EU F-Gas), and ESG reporting mechanisms. • Strong stakeholder engagement, governance establishment, and change management skills. • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, ensure data integrity, and communicate findings to diverse audiences. • Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical, legislative, and operational changes into actionable business solutions. • Willingness to travel internationally as required (approx. 20-30%).
